If they are really interested in "saving taxpayer money" they would not send out mailers that are paid for by the tax payers, they would decline the health benefits and they'd ask for a salary reduction. Bottom line is that those in congress are there to take advantage of the people. Dicks.

So, all these Democrats are "hailing the killing of Osoma bin Laden." I find it interesting that they were outraged by waterboarding of terrorists. So, you can kill a terrorist, but you can't torture him. Liberal thinking.

Selling state facilities to private multi-million dollar corporations like Corrections Corporation of America,Management and Training Inc. etc will result in a huge transfer of public assests to those multi-million dollar corporations. The false claim that those companies can do a better job for less is perpetuated by the millionaires who will enrich themselves with taxpayer dollars. Look at states like Texas and Arizona where privatization has been going on for 20-30 years and you will find examples of bad results with private prisons. The prisoners who escaped from prison in Arizona in 2010 escaped from a private prison that had a documented history of problems. And,oh,several innocent people ended up being killed by those escaped prisoners.
By the way starting today many state employees are receiving layoff notices due to the draconian decisions of the Kasich administration. But,he is still going to allow his friends, like Ernie Moore the Director of the Department of Rehab and Correction to enrich themselves with taxpayer money. By the way,Mr. Moore was employed by one of those for profit prison corporations just before Kasich appointed him. That is not a coincidence is it Mr. Kasich?

As a former supervisor with the Ohio Adult Parole Authority in Akron I had the pleasure of working with some of the deputies in the sex offender unit at the Summit County Sheriff's Office. We worked cooperatively to attempt to supervise and hold accountable sex offenders in Summit County. The deputies at the sheriff's office always went above and beyond when working with us. It would be a disservice to the citizens of Summit County if the sheriff's office was forced to cut back on the duties of the deputies in the sex offender unit because of misguided decisions by politicians in Columbus.

I just recently found out Cazzell was our Summit County rep for Copley. Where h***has he been all my life. And I really want another Smith to represent me - Not. How about finding someone that lives in the Copley-Fairlawn area to represent the Copley-Fairlawn area since, today, not much is being accomplished inside the Akron City limit. Whatever CS was paid, was way too much. And now he'll double or triple his salary?? Worthless. And just what is he going to be deputy director of and his qualifications other than a Democrat ready to retire???? Go Political Appointments!!! Love those Dems. They've done so much for Summit County over the years. Just heck of a retirement plan. Taxpayers, next election, pay attention.

Where'd the Diebold post move to? I was hoping to comment on the fact that our new Republican Gov. apparently saved thousands of good jobs here in Northeast Ohio. The cryptic version that implied he was up to some sort of ballot box shenanigans had been switched out, so it seems a little odd to go back and delete it entirely.

I wonder if this sort of thing falls through the cracks more easily if, say, some partisan community group (not ACORN of course) flooded key precincts with bogus voter registrations and such on the run up to the election? I also wonder where the former secretary of state ( a "true progressive" democrat, her website says), was on this issue the past few years? It only took the new guy a couple months to sniff it out.

By the by, those true progressive democrats target secretary of state elections through their Secretary of State Project precisely because secretaries of state oversee such election issues. Brunner was one of their big success stories.
