Carol Klinger and the "New Summit Republicans" as you call them have presently raised just over $35,000 for Nero according to the Sec. of States reports. Alex and friends have not yet contributed to his campaign directly or through the OHRCC. Nero will probably raise another $20,000 at his fundraiser featuring John Kaisich on Tuesday. Oh yeah, and his broadcast TV ad buy starts on Weds. The Cleveland media market is the most expensive therefore none of the House candidates are on TV in this market at present time. Best guess Nero will file with around $100K raised on his pre-general filing, with around $20k cash on hand to bury Moran in the final week. This race is just getting starting, the polling done last week has this race with in the margin of error.

Carol Klinger lost the republican majority on cuyahoga falls city council.

Since then, she has not recruited one candidate that has won, she has not raised one penny for a council candidate, and she sits there making deals with her only buddy on city council Kathy Hummel, a democrat. Yeah that's the Republican leadership this county needs.

Word on the street is Klinger is not planning on running for reelection. Is she going to announce that to republicans so they can plan someone to replace her or is she going to keep that quiet in the hopes that her other buddy Diane colavecchio, another democrat, will run for the at-large seat unopposed???

Congrats on the Rogers win. I am not mad she won. I like when Republicans win. I dont root against some because of dumb bullshit like you. That said, it wasnt a gain of any kind. The seat was already Republican. You are acting like it is some grand thing that we have one seat on County Council out of all them. Wow. How proud we should all be.

Looking at the countywide ballot, you dont have a whole lot to brag about. I wish you did. That is the difference between me and you, whoever you are. For Bachman to lose by that much is just pathetic.

Nero was our party's candidate. He won his primary. It is a shame he got no support from the party when his only crime was to win the primary against a candidate the party powers put up who was far less qualified.

The local Republicans took a real hit yesterday–it was a perfect storm for them. Several good candidates went down to defeat because too many voters simply voted a straight ticket for too many reasons to cite here. It looks like it will be harder than ever to be a Republican in Summit county.
I did see, though, that Randy Cole and Rich Nero, were not beaten nearly as badly as some of the other Republicans. In a different year, they might have even won.

I thought Carol Klinger said Arshinkoff's hand picked candidate Gloria Rodgers was going to lose??? Arshinkoff's hand picked candidate WON!! OHHHHHH we still have a Republican on council but now it's REALLY a conservative Rebpublican and not that sham Heydorn who was cutting deals with Democrats to run unopposed. And all of Arshinkoff's judges WON!!! Suck on that.

I am looking forward to hearing Klinger describe how much money they raised and how THEIR candidates did (Dickie Nero).
