Ohio Polling Very Inconsistent

Two new polls were released yesterday and posted on Real Clear Politics. The first poll by Suffolk (never heard of them) of 600 likely voters showed Obama leading by 9% with 51% Obama and 42% McCain. The second poll by Fox News / Rasmussen of 1,000 likely voters showed McCain ahead by 2% with 49% McCain and 47% Obama. The inconsistency of the polling helps add to Ohio's mystique as the key battleground in the final days of the election.

Wow. Kyle you are suprising me. Thanks.
Well I would probably go with a known pollster than some crap poll from some university from outside Ohio.
I am fairly convinced that McCain will win Ohio if the national margin is less than 4.5 which I am convinced it will be.
Even if McCain wins Ohio….and I still don't believe he will….he won't win the election.
Look at any electoral map you want to….it's over.
As often one looks at samples, when doing random collections, and a result is so off the mark, it could definitely be an outlier.
Suffolk does actually provide the entire call sheet, which leaves me with the following questions.
They had a 100% response rate? Really?
Does a 45%/31% Democrat to Republican breakdown make sense?
No exile, of course not, it doesnt make sense. These outrageous polls should be ripped up. 14% spread? 100% response rate? Please.
Funniest thing. Two weeks out from the general election in 2006 Betty Montgomery was leading in the polls. The NRA then came out with their endorsement, Marc Dann was their man. Two weeks later Dann won, big shift in the numbers what an upset. Now here we are 2 weeks away from the presidential. NRA endorsing McCain Palin. Let us see what happens.
