Joe Biden spoke with Eric Mansfield during his stop in Wooster yesterday for about 10 minutes. They touch on keeping college graduates working in Ohio after school, home foreclosure, job loss from Ohio, and Ohio's National Guard. It is clear that Joe Biden has a sound understanding of the issues important in our state. Contrast Biden doing an interview with a local news anchor as he stops in our community with Palin taking one question shouted from a reporter while she sits at some coffee shop in Cleveland:
Compare the two and tell me who is ready to address the issues important to Ohio.
The novelty of Sarah Palin is starting to wear off as voters start to realize the importance of this presidential election in the midst of an economic crisis. Joe Biden is hitting Ohio hard this week. Today, he will campaign in hard hit Canton, where he will be introduced by Congressional Candidate John Boccieri. Later today he will be in Youngstown for an outdoor rally. These events present Biden with an opportunity to continue to showcase his understanding of the economic issues impacting our state.
The press has become increasingly impatient with Palin's unwillingess to participate. One of my favorite lessons from political science class is something to the effect of "you've got to feed the press or they will eat you alive." Since Sarah Palin isn't feeding the press, they have gone looking for something to eat and seem to have chosen a steady diet of fact checking Palin's talking points and looking into her record. The coverage is revealing that she is all show and little substance.
We've got a long way to go. I believe this race is dead even nationally and that we are a bit behind in Ohio. I also believe that Joe Biden is the kind of guy who understands the working class issues of Ohio voters and will be a difference maker down the stretch.

Anyone who says that it is my patriotic duty to pay taxes is certainly not ready to lead anyone. Here is the rub Kyle. Ask Joe Biden to give an extra 20% to the government every year for his little projects. Are you honestly willing to cut the government a check every year for another 20% of your income? Do you think Barbara Streisand or Martin Sheen are? I think not. Have you ever filed a tax return and taken the money back you overpayed? If you really believed in the liberal nonsense, no liberal would take a tax refund.

I have a feeling if I showed up at the Biden event he would have talked to me for 15 minutes. He is dying for press. I would ask him how he feels today about trying to ruin the lives of Bork and Thomas. I wonder if that is how he will operate as a potential VP - destroying opponents. You know, like the Democrats always accuse the current administration of doing.
I don't understand. How can we determine who is ready to serve the people between these 2 clips.
From Biden I heard how he is going to spend $100,000,000,000.00. If those things are so important and could have brought relief to our area, why hasn't he been working on them already? Why didn't he say to Senator Brown: "hey ya know the great lakes are getting a little rough let's work to fix 'em up a little. I understand things are a little rough up there for your people, let's work to put a little money there to boost your economy."
He boasts they are going to spend $15B a year on Alternative fuels. How much will t.boone, Pelosi, and Gore profit from that spending? Is it going to be more democrat cronyism, them making millions off of the backs of the people, just like their freinds did with Fanny and Freddy? Why wasn't this addressed 30 years ago when he joined the senate?
Now he is talking about free college education for volunteers like being a community organizer? If this was possible why wasn't it done before? If you want to put a little effort into it and you qualify, you can get a free college education in this country. Push your kids a little and make them good citizens, keep them off the streets, make them study and help them excell in a sport or activity. Maybe if he would work to get colleges to lower tuitions this may help more people get tehir kids in college. No, he is part of the program that freely gives government funds to colleges for tuition, faux research etc. Maybe if OSU didn't have 15 VP's making in the $350K a year salary range and a College president that makes a Million a year our kids could afford to go to school. All money that his crony's in the NEA are stealing from the government funded educational opportunities of the families of our neighborhoods.
He can work on these things, he is a senator for goodness sake. It's just more of the same, give me your vote so I can raise your taxes to give you all of this great stuff then like a broke brother-in-law when collection time comes, he'll give you about 5% of what he promised! We have been hearing this crap for years. Vote for someone that will stop unnecessary funding and rein in spending. Vote for Real Change, Vote McCain/Palin.
Of the 2 clips you could look at it like this. Is it better to know when to not speak and to focus on the people you are visiting, just like Sarah did. Why give the press the opportunity to twist and edit your responses any more than you have to. Just like Charlie Gibson did. It is the presses fault she doesn't give them the time of day. She is focusing on the people and she will speak when SHE has something to say not at their every whim.

And indeed, Palin's rose is wilting. Americans can be fooled but not insulted. To expect voters to accept a totally unqualified person to be a heartbeat away is an insult.

Was Biden at a campus bar alone at night just dying for someone to recognize him and ask a question on how he can spend more money to increase the cost of college?
Yada, yada, yada. The same socialist balony. Who are they going to take the money from to give it to the worlds richest poor? the ones who can afford the wealth redistribution are going to go offshore with their wealth to avoid the tax increases but where can us average Americans go? Nowhere! Sooner or later the nipple on the goverment pork pig will go dry. Where will we be then?

I'm an Alaskan. I'm a hockey mom. I'm reaching out to folks in Ohio to urge them to vote their conscience on election day. Consider which party has led the stewardship of our country for the past two terms. If you like McCain simply because you like Palin you are short changing yourself. Please don't look to Alaskans' approval ratings when considering Sarah Palin's preparedness to serve this great nation. The permanet fund dividend and Palin's energy relief refund placed over $3K in each Alaskan's bank account this year. Her expertise in energy will be limited to and focused on drilling for oil and gas in Alaska and further stuffing her state coffers at the expense of Americans in the rest of the country. If you believe Sarah Palin cares about you, you will be disappointed. Don't get fooled again, she is a calculating career politician who cares only about the almighty dollar and her own political career.

The point people like Larry D. is working hard to miss is that she not going to answer questions like the way Biden did. Why should she? It's a losing proposition since she can't answer them with out showing her true utter cluelessness, like she did with the AIG answer.
I've seen her answer tougher questions better, jj. Several times.
I'm an anti-American, anti-Semitic, ultraleftist who has voted the straight Democrat ticket since my hero Jimmy Carter in '76, but even I think the Obama-Biden Laden ticket is too far to the left, and is giving us real Democrats a bad name. I urge you to vote for the more moderate Cynthia McKinney (Green Party).
Biden has been in Congress for over three decades. What has he ever done to keep jobs in Ohio, besides nothing ?
