Governor Strickland Discusses Obama

I was most interested in asking Governor Strickland about how he plans to handle the upcoming presidential campaign in Ohio. In this clip you will see Governor Strickland's answer.
After we finished our interview, Governor Strickland gave us a brief tour of his office and staff offices outside. I'd guess his office is at least 20×30 with a large vaulted ceiling. There are historical portraits around the top of the wall and he said that one is valued at $500,000. The color scheme was a lot of red and dark wood.
Aparently Governor Taft had worked on the top floor of the Riffe Center, which is a 30+ floor government office building next to the capital. Strickland moved his office into the capital so he could be more hands on. In addition, the office space for his staff looks more like a cramped campaign office than a the posh office space I expected. His Chief of Staff, Communications Director, Legal Counsel and so on work in a space with desks as close as Dwight Schrute's and Jim Halpert's on The Office. The Secretaries have their desks in the hallway. All that said, it is absolutely beautiful space and I'm at a loss to describe how cool it must be to work there.

The second half of the interview was a nice campaign "ad" for Obama, presenting him through the eyes of the governor. He does seem thoughtful and has some insight into some of the economic challenges we face, both as a state and a country.
You rookies did good!
Anne, thanks. I also thought his comments on the economy were interesting. His discussion of energy and T. Boone Pickens' commercials shows that is is an issue he has been focusing on and that is great to see.
You guys did a great job! You are kind of a big deal!!!!!
How does Obama win a state in the general election in which he carried only five out of eighty eight counties in the primary?
Strickland is a legit Presidential nominee in 2016. Crazy that can happen to a guy that was a relatively obscure congressman 3 years ago.
FYI, it's Jim Halpert.
I don't like donkeys. Can I have an elephant instead?
If not, your an evil…
Greg, thanks. Change has been made.
Chuck K is out of his mind if he thinks that.
And Pickens is not the guy that America should look to for leadership on this issue. He is simply asking for subsidies to fund a bunch of inefficient wind mills and start using natural gas for cars… He owns interests in both. And subsidizing inefficient energy sources (ie, corn) is something which has already caused enough problems!
My gosh, Ted Strickland is boring.
Maybe you should invest in a microphone.
This is great !! Glad you guys were able to pull this off, and the governor was so accommodating. It speaks well of him as a person and the leader of this great state.
