Tony Snow, RIP

Not good news to wake up to: Tony Snow Dead at 53

As suspected, Snow never really left the White House to make more money as he said he needed to do, it was because he knew. It was fairly obvious and his recent canceled appearances indicated such. Snow was the original host of Fox News Sunday when it launched in 1996 and was there until 2003. A few years back, Snow would occasionally fill in for Rush Limabugh, and he remains the only guest host on the EIB Network that I have ever been excited to hear. He was a happy and talented warrior for the conservative moment and by all accounts was truly a good man. Snow, an Ohio guy, graduated from Princeton High School in Sharonville, Ohio.

What a change it was when he arrived at the White House in 2006 to take over as Press Secretary. There couldn't have been a larger contrast between Snow and the man he replaced, Scott McClellan.

I've had that picture saved for about two years, there was something I always liked about it. If memory serves me correctly, it was from the day they closed the old press room in the White House to renovate it. Always been one of my favorites.

President Bush, today: Tony was one of our Nation's finest writers and commentators. He earned a loyal following with incisive radio and television broadcasts. He was a gifted speechwriter who served in my father's Administration. And I was thrilled when he agreed to return to the White House to serve as my Press Secretary. It was a joy to watch Tony at the podium each day. He brought wit, grace, and a great love of country to his work. His colleagues will cherish memories of his energetic personality and relentless good humor.

Two broadcast giants have now been lost so close to each other at outrageously early ages. May the bad news end here.

Good riddance to him. May he rot in hell for all of this lies he told and the blood on his hands.

I see the liberals are consistent. When he was diagnosed many wished him a long painful death. Now that he has died they hope for him to rot in hell. Yes sir, the caring compassionate libs sure to have the moral highground.

Very sad news. Deepest condolences to his family.

He was a true professional in his field and I’ll miss his insightful commentary. The tremendous grace with which he handled all challenges, including his tragic illness, stands as an example to everyone.

I agree with all the comments but the first……obviously…….and I would change the 2nd comment wording from "all" to "most" to make it more accurate.

I enjoyed watching Tony Snow and thought he did a good job in his roll as Press Secretary. It is certainly sad to hear him passing at such a young age.
