I have known Lee Fisher for 20 years. He is a man with common sense and impecable morals. He is as good as his word. He would be a much needed change to represent Ohio as our Senator. Voinavich has repeatedly shown he does not represent the voters wishes. He is a self-serving, pompas crybaby. Lee Fisher would make us all proud.

Lee Fisher would be a good Senate candidate but not a great candidate. Ben you are correct again. He must deliver on job creation. I doubt if he will. Strickland's economic development strategy of corporate welfare, increased government spending, and flooding the job market with college educated people is a very poor long-term strategy and a mediocre to poor short-term strategy. Keno will not safe us.
It will be interesting to see what dems run against him for Senate.
Cordray is a good AG candidate. Squeaky clean, smart, good name recreation, and experience. The next AG race will be interesting. How much does Marc Dann hurt the Ohio Democrats in November 2008 and November 2010?

Also, for anyone getting distressed (or excited) about that survey usa poll today that showed Obama +9 over McCain in Ohio, dont be.

Here was the party breakdown in the sample: 52% D, 28% R. I would hope with that breakdown Obama was up by 9%. McCain even up by 10% with Ohio independents. I guess this is why this poll has a different result that other ones. Because it is garbage.

Cordray would certainly be qualified and is the kind of guy who could take this bad situation and turn it around. Subodh Chandra is another person I'm hearing mentioned a lot. I'm sure there are plenty of other qualified candidates.

I have speculated early on that Cordray would be the guy. Frankly, even though he is a Democrat, he is very well qualified. And he has done a very good job as treasurer. I do have a very close contact to Rich. He says that Rich is happy where he's at. Of course, that could just be the "official" response to the question. I will be seeing my contact this weekend and I will definitely be grilling him. While he won't break the official response, a few adult beverages should produce the necessary slip of the tongue.
