As a postscript, the bill in question is now being fast-tracked in the Ohio Senate. Senate President Harris was not happy to hear of Widowfield's actions and has made this a priority.

Remember Alex ran his niece against Judge Spicer even after she won the Republican primary, because she wouldnt barter her integrity for Alex's favor.

She was so well respected that lawyers from both parties cam out to support her and she beat Alex's niece by something like 70% to 30%.

That story is very typical of Alex's leadership of the GOP.

This whole matter is the kind of sleaze we need to get out of the party. Alex and his cronies manipulate people, including fellow Republicans, to get what he wants. In one of his recent meetings with central committe members he admitted to trying to manipulate Judge Mary Spicer by supporting an independant candidate against her years ago. Last year, his sleazy politics lost the Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court Clerks race, where Widowfield should have easily beaten the unknown ballerina. He encouraged additional people to run as independents to try to draw votes from the Dem. Everyone saw it for the cynical manipulation it was and it blew up in his face.
