Thank You For A Great March

It has been a great month at The Point. Thanks to you, our traffic is growing and the comments are getting both more frequent and more insightful, sparking more debate. Our site is unique in the state - two bloggers on opposite sides of the spectrum bringing ideas to the table on the same page. However, it is our readers from both sides of the aisle that make this site truly special.
We have covered topics that are far ranging: a potential gas tax, Pete Kostoff and Alex Arshinkoff, the selection of Carol Klinger, the economic stimulus, Reverend Wright, Hillary's path to the nomination, numerous live primary night liveblogs, campaign mailers, exclusive campaign commercials, Ted Kennedy's Akron visit, the Ohio Turnpike, plenty on Ted Strickland, Dennis Kucinich, and many other subjects that Ohioans care about.
The Point is is also very close to reaching an important milestone. We are close to our 1,000th comment since the site launched on January 24, 2008. In honor of this accomplishment, we are running a contest. Whoever posts comment #1,000 will get to write a guest post to which both of us will respond to. It can be about whatever you wish as long as it is politically related. We can't tell you exactly how close to 1,000 - this way no one can cheat and post when they know they will be the winner. We will say that we expect to hit this mark by the end of the week. Post away and you could be the winner!
In conclusion, we want to say thank you to our readers for making our site a part of your daily political diet. It is going to be an exciting election year and we look forward to continuing the debate between each other and our readers.

Did you find a picture of me with my Phillies hat to mock me for the Opening Day loss? Lack of class.
Kudos to both of you for keeping this site reguarly updated and posting on topics that can spark a lively devate it's what makes this blog so interesting.
Great job on the website. I like the mix of national, state, and local stories and discussion topics. Keep up the good work.
Good job - thank YOU for keeping at it.
Good site. And since it is more than just a traditional blog (by its association with ABJ), it seems to have a more reasonable discourse.
For all those that think the blogs are too hostile, this is the place to be to discuss important issues.
Keep up the good work, Ben are you on that Coughlin presser today???
Yes Joe, I will be participating in the Coughlin conference call at 3:30 today. Kyle is going to try and make it as well. We will report back later tonight with what was said and provide an update.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words.
Ben, it is hard to find a picture of you not in a Phillies hat.
All, thanks for the kind words. They are truly appreciated.
Not bad for a couple of young punks.
Keep up the good work.
Great job guys keep up the good insightful work, and go Phils!
It is obvious that you both spend a good deal of time and effort on this site. Like the mix of information and opinions, both serious and humorous. Most of the comments
seem contered on the topic at hand rather than of a personal, insulting nature.
But off the topic, Bob Dyer's column today provides information on a fund designed to help soldiers and their families spend time together before the soldiers are shipped overseas. No matter what your opinion of the war, as Dyer states, contributions to the fund will provide a real service for the military and their families. I hope you will consider donating.
Great job guys! Keep it up as we will keep visiting and reading. Next time try to get a picture of Ben in his Julio Franco Indians jersey, his true favorite team
[...] The Point has reached a few milestones and so the blog-MSM collaboration history is furthered, at least beyond the Wide Open. [...]
