Thanks Hollywood, but Naw… "Fixing the Bush economy, stupid…" wasn't so brilliant — just a factual observation about the recent debates in both parties and the top issue on minds of voters, according to the exit polls.

Your "cyclical" economic analysis must have been influenced by a professor at your communist university… is that U. of Havana or Beijing?

Yes Blue Dog but mine wasn't there, but it was given away by my communist university as well.

Also fixing the Bush economy stupid is a brilliant statement. They are called economic cycles because there are cyclical. The economy is down now, but the last recession prior to this was 2001-02 which many economist think would have been averted had it not been for the September 11th attaks. So we had 10 years of economic growth from 1991-2001 (the 1991 recession was over in March of 1991 but the economy wasn't declared to be out of the recession until December 2002 after the media had convinced Americans the economy was terrible and they got Clinton elected). So if the September 11th attacks had not occured we could be in the middle of 18 year period of economic growth. It wouldn't matter if the country were being run by a democrat, republican, or a libertarian, by the laws of economics we were kind of due for a recession (actually a good libertarian could have probably avoided it).

Another Hollywood reminder: Ken Blackwell posted thousands of SS numbers on his SOS web site in 2006. No disc theft involved… just state-sanctioned public disclosure of SS numbers until Ken removed them after public outcry.

That's quaint GOP thinking, Ben K. After 16 years of GOP sink-rule in Ohio, Ted is a "do-nothing" guv after 12 whole months, including a bipartisan state budget with a hole worsened by a tanking US economy (oil prices, stock dives, mortgage crisis).

Fixing the Bush economy, stupid, is the main issue of this presidential primary season for both parties…. Heck, even 911 Rudy talked economy stimuli in Florida….or didn't you get the WSJ memo along with your anti-Ted talking points from Bob Bennett's State of the Union blog?

No, Ted Strickland did not inherit a great situation, but he has done nothing. Eventually he is going to have to show some results. Look at Indiana right next to us, their numbers are improving while our's are headed the way of Michigan's. We will be like Michigan soon enough if we keep this kind of "blame others, do nothing" strategy currently employed by Ted.

Strickland was in the minority in the House. In recent times when has the minority party been able to do anything?
Strickland isn't perfect but thats a bad argument.
Anyways, its not easy taking over Ohio after the total mess the years of republican control has left it in.
