Listen Up Earthlings!!! Kucinich Will Speak Now!!!

If he is going to be complaining that he can't get into debates, maybe instead of doing this, he should be out actually campaigning to raise his numbers so he could get into a debate. Actually, if more people heard him his numbers would probably go down if that was possible. But I digress. Today in the House:
Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich caused a stink on the House of Representatives floor this morning during a speech where he announced he'll introduce articles of impeachment against President Bush on Monday, Jan. 28, the day Bush delivers his State of the Union speech.
"We already know the State of the Union," Kucinich says in his speech. "It's a lie."
Not too much after his statement, Dennis slinked back to the House floor to withdraw his "offending words." He had to know that it was going to happen that way, but again, he doesn't care. As long as he gets noticed, all is good on Planet Dennis.
That is it. I am not mentioning Kucinich anymore. For a guy at 2% at most in the polls, he takes up too much print everywhere. As long as he is front and center, then in his mind he is a winner. If the people of the 10th Congressional District can get united behind another candidate in the Democratic primary on March 4, they can end this charade and get a real congressman and beam Kucinich out of office. By getting rid of Kucinich, voters of the 10th can get rid of a symbol of Cleveland futility at the same time.
Hey Dennis, how is your recount in New Hampshire going? Pick up any more votes? Did you actually win?

Dennis might have some help sorting out all those lies:
The Center for Public Integrity has a new report out this morning which it says chronicles at least 935 falsities that President Bush and his team made in the runup to the Iraq War in order to win over public opinion in the U.S. and abroad.

I seldom agreed with Dennis but respected him because he was one of the few that did not use his office to enrich himself. His never ending campaign for the presidency has become a way for Dennis to travel the world and live the good life using campaign contributions. Please give it up Dennis if you are enamored with the life style get a real job and earn your own way.
I guess it goes back to whether or not you think they flat out lied or the intelligence was wrong. I think the intelligence was wrong and that no US President - Bush, Clinton, Carter, anyone, would do that intentionlly…
I heard audio from a YouTube video that Dennis apparently put up begging for money for his congressional race. I agree that the district needs full time representation and a change in leadership to a new Democrat.
I like Dennis. He's kinda loony but he speaks his mind and that should be considered admirable. I saw an alien space ship once too! My friends will cooberate my story!
Chris, you sound like a part of the Kucinich base of support.
People should check out the Carnival of Politics Ben mentioned in his post. It is a great weekly update of the Ohio blogosphere.
It's been an "interesting" week for Kucinich. Sure knows how to get in the spotlight, doesn't he? Read a satirical take on this at: http://newslampoon.com
As a Wisconsinite, I have a great deal of respect for Kucinich.
He may be somewhat odd, but frankly, this country needs more people in government that isn't so directly tied to their party and are willing to stand up for the Constitution and speak truth to power.
I'd be proud to have Kucinich as my representative. If you want to see an embarrassment look at Sensenbrenner.
